Strange Magic

A day or so ago, at work, a little boy came up to me, out of the blue, and asked, "Is magic real?"
"It's an illusion," I said.
His mother asked me, "How does it feel to be put on the spot?"
"It's okay," I said. "Very inquisitive young man you've got there. Very bright."

I wanted to tell them that I was secretly a powerful wizard and capable of all kinds of strange magick ...

... but I didn't want to lie.
